Ana I Vargas, MD

Endocrine and Board-Certified General Surgeon Ana I. Vargas, MD, is providing services for patients 5 years and older at South Texas Health System® Clinics General Surgery Edinburg.

Dr. Vargas earned her medical degree from Tec de Monterrey in Mexico. She later completed a General Surgery residency at UTRGV and further specialized with an Endocrine Surgery Fellowship at Baylor Scott and White Health in Temple, Texas.

Dr. Vargas was born in the Rio Grande Valley and raised in Mexico. She is pleased to return to treat patients in the area.
